Water
The constraint nobody mentions. A private pool villa uses a great deal of it in an island with falling groundwater. We favour properties that recycle greywater and refill from tanks rather than the aquifer.

Sustainability
And the specific things we do about it, rather than a page of intentions.
In short
Bali's real pressures are water, waste and the displacement of local ownership — not carbon from the flight, which is by far the biggest number but the one we have least influence over.
Three pressures
Bali's environmental problems are specific and local. A generic sustainability page would miss all three.
Cultural
Bali is not a backdrop. A few things follow from taking that seriously.

Next step
This page deliberately claims less than most. If there is something you expected to see here and it is missing, ask why — the answer is usually that we have not solved it.
