May to June — the sweet spot
Dry, humidity below 75%, and the island still relatively quiet. Everything outdoors works: the terraces, the surf, the boat days. This is the stretch we book most often.

When to go
Season by season, with the months that cost less and feel emptier for the same weather.
Check your datesThe short answer
Late April, May and September are the best weeks for a Bali honeymoon: the same dry-season weather as July and August, noticeably fewer people, and villa rates twenty to thirty per cent lower.
Four seasons, honestly
No month in Bali is a write-off. They are simply different trades.

Sea conditions matter more than rain for anything on the water. Boat days are more reliably calm between May and September.
Choosing
Most couples have exactly one non-negotiable. Start there and the month picks itself.
Before you write to us
Less than people expect. Rain tends to arrive as a heavy hour in the afternoon rather than grey all day, and the landscape is at its best. What it does affect is boat days and long treks.
May. Dry-season weather, shoulder-season pricing, and the island has not yet filled up.
On the villa line, typically twenty to thirty per cent against July and August. That is usually the largest single saving available on the whole trip.
Only if you dislike crowds: 20 December to 5 January, and the Australian school holidays in late June and July. Nyepi, Bali's day of silence, closes the island entirely for 24 hours — worth knowing rather than avoiding.
Nine to twelve months for July, August and Christmas. Shoulder season is usually workable at three to six.
