A Private Estate, Not a Room
The residences we use run to about 300 square metres of indoor-outdoor living. Alang-alang grass roofs for natural insulation, hand-carved teak, polished concrete floors, and glass doors that retract until the inside and outside stop being separate rooms.
The pool is the centrepiece: eight metres, saltwater, cantilevered over the paddies. Beside it a bale bengong — the Balinese relaxation pavilion — with daybeds for the afternoon. The pantry is stocked before you arrive, and the toiletries are blended locally rather than bought in miniature.

Ubud Honeymoon Questions
When is the best time to visit Ubud for a honeymoon?
April to October is the dry season and the easy answer. The green season, November to March, is genuinely beautiful too — the rain tends to arrive in short afternoon bursts and the terraces are at their fullest.
Do we need a visa for Indonesia?
Citizens of more than ninety countries, including the UK, USA, Australia and most of the EU, get a 30-day Visa on Arrival. Check with your Indonesian embassy close to departure, since the rules do move.
Can you work around dietary requirements?
Yes. We take the detail up front — allergies, vegan, paleo, whatever it is — and brief both your private chef and every restaurant we book.
What is not in the package price?
International flights, visa fees, travel insurance, and any lunches or dinners not named in your itinerary. We recommend the insurance rather than sell it.
How far ahead should we book?
Nine to twelve months for the best villas and the harder restaurant tables. Three to six months is usually still workable.
